A very large misconception in building a brand comes down to the idea that a website can be built first. This can end up costing a fortune more. When a small business or large one for that matter, think they can create initial brand awareness for their online marketing by putting up a website first, they end up having to go back and spend that much more to start a website over, fix the SEO and adjust their personal branding to reflect their message, their business ideas and creating better messaging for sales and advertising.

The whole concept of business and personal branding communication with your audience is key. This does not mean you have to spend a fortune on a personal branding course or sign up for a personal branding course. It does mean that identifying the crucial blueprint and footprint of your brand before you create a website will allow you to save time, money and frustration.

Building a brand effectively starts with creating that brand prior to the website and social media. The foundations you create in the early stages of building a brand will allow every aspect of that brand to be brought into all the different pieces from websites, to social media to print and beyond.
