Hi, My name is Andy Leverenz and I work as a Product Designer at Dribbble. For fun, I design, code, and write. Check out my blog called Web-Crunch https://web-crunch.com where I publish design and development tutorials with the occasional vlog.

PART 2 OF 5

The app icon's background will feature a dark tone with a subtle pattern. Upon this background will rest our lens art of which is in higher contrast. This makes for a much more eye-catching art in the end. This part is foundational so follow along as in the next lesson we will start on the lens itself. We'll focus on enhancing the ui design in later parts of this series.

This 5 part series will teach you my process for creating a custom iOS app icon from scratch.

Note: This content was the result of a recent app I created called Affinicasts. Unfortunately, I discontinued the app to pursue other endeavors. This video and more was premium content on the app. I hope you'll enjoy it here on my channel now for free.
