The first thing that we’re gonna do is get your domain name. Your domain name is the same thing as your website name. Google’s domain name is Google.com. Your domain name could be anything you want .com .org .net. It’s basically just the name of your website, some people refer to it as a domain name or a website name or a URL. But if you only had a domain name but no hosting, people would be able to type in your website.com but there would be no logo, no text, no images that show up because you need somewhere to hold all the information in order to deliver it to people 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

So, as you can see, you need hosting for your website. You can start from just $5 a month. You get a bigger discount by signing up four more months at a time which is probably the smart thing to do and that could go down to about five dollars a month. There are a lot of good hosting companies on the market. So you can choose what you like.
Create a Website: Install WordPress
So the next thing that we’re gonna do is install WordPress. WordPress is what’s called a content management system which is just a fancy way of saying. It helps you manage all of your content, so instead of having to do code and all this complex stuff all you have to do is drag in images and type, and change around some settings. And you have a website. So we need to install that WordPress software onto your website and luckily for us WordPress is open source and free.
Build a Website: Create Content
The next thing that we need to do is create your website. So this includes building your pages, choosing your colors, putting in all your images and content. All the tools, you can see in this video. All are gonna be absolutely free and you’re gonna be creating your website yourself. So you don’t need to pay anyone to do it. So that’s also free.
